Antonius
Players
Louis de Bernières has been working
with the Antonius Players for three years now. In collaboration,
they have delighted audiences all over the UK with their unique
blend of poetry and music. They have had a run of sell-out
shows for the last two years at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival,
and they are already booked for 2007 to perform a Childrens
Poetry and Music event at the Valvona and Crolla Venue.
The Antonius Players originally started as a flute trio and
although the flute still remains central to their performances,
they have proved their musical versatility by introducing other
instruments using their own arrangements.
Louis has become a central member of the group now, and adds
his mandolin, guitar (and woodwind!) skills. He also includes
his own poetry and translations of foreign literary works, when
these fit the programme.
